ACTION: Final Rules

SYNOPSIS: The Federal Acquisition Secretariat is issuing FAC 2005-83 to amend the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) in the following subject areas: (1) inflation adjustment of acquisition-related thresholds; (2) prohibition on contracting with inverted domestic corporations representation and notification; (3) update to product and service codes; (4) clarification on justification for urgent noncompetitive awards exceeding one year; (5) prohibition on contracting with inverted domestic corporations; (6) permanent authority for use of simplified acquisition procedures for certain commercial items; and (7) technical amendments.

DATES: The effective date for Items V and VII is July 2, 2015; the effective date for Items III, IV, and VI is August 3, 2015; the effective date for Item I is October 1, 2015; and the effective date for item II is November 1, 2015.
